‘Millions of doses’ of suspected meth seized by BC RCMP

A massive drug bust took place over the weekend, as federal BC RCMP officers conducted a drug trafficking investigation that led to the discovery of suspected meth.

In total, approximately 600 kilograms of suspected methamphetamines have been seized and according to RCMP it equates to potentially millions of ‘doses’.

The BC RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime (FSOC) Major Projects team and the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team have arrested three men who are facing potential drug possession and trafficking charges.

“A seizure of this size is shocking, but also much too common,” said Supt Richard Bergevin, Officer in Charge of FSOC Major Projects in BC. “The impact these, and other illicit drugs, have on our communities, through the death and destruction of lives and families is incalculable. We continue to make every effort to stem their flow across our borders and onto our streets.”

The investigation remains ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time.
