UPDATE: Missing Okanagan teenager safely located

(UPDATE: July 7 @ 9:40 am) - The 14-year-old who was reported missing by the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP on Friday has been located.

In an update sent out Monday morning, the RCMP stated that the teenager was found just before noon on Saturday and is safe and well.

The name and photo of the teenager have been removed from the previous version of this article out of respect for their privacy.


(Original story: July 5 @ 7:50 am) -The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing teenager who drove away from his residence yesterday.

The teenager left his home in Vernon in the early afternoon on Friday and has not been heard from since.

The 14-year-old is believed to be driving a white Chevrolet Equinox with a folding e-bike rack.

The teenager is described as:

  • 5’9 (175 cm)
  • 150 lbs (68 kg)
  • Blonde hair
  • Blue eyes

Anyone who has seen Wilcox or the vehicle is asked to contact their local police department.
