The Honda Celebration of Light will return to English Bay in Vancouver this summer.
Organizers behind the vastly-popular three-day fireworks festival announced that this year’s event will take place on Saturday, July 22, Wednesday, July 26 and Saturday, July 29.
Participating countries will be announced next Monday.
After a two-year pandemic hiatus, the summer staple for Vancouver returned in 2022 and saw Team Canada’s Midnight Sun Fireworks beat out competitors from Japan and Spain to win the title.
The event draws well over more than a million spectators and this year should be no different.
While the focal point of the competition is the three 25-minute firework displays that happen on three nights over eight days, it has grown to become much more in recent years.
The Celebration of Light features food trucks, activities for the whole family and plenty of entertainment, including free concerts before the sun sets and the skies light up with fireworks.
Although the heart of the event is English Bay, people gather throughout North Vancouver, West Vancouver and Vancouver to catch a glimpse of the incredible light shows.
