Yikes! Alice the T Rex looks frighteningly fierce at night.

"Alice" is now in place, and she looks crazy fierce in the evening light.

The stunning 12,000-pound stainless steel T Rex created by sculptor Kevin Stone was moved Tuesday from Stone's studio in the Fraser Valley to its permanent home overlooking Okanagan Lake on the Naramata Bench.

It arrived mid-afternoon in three distinct pieces (head, torso, tail) carried on two large flatbed trucks. The assembly process didn’t end 'til 8:30 pm, when Stone took the above moody photo and sent it along to PentictonNow.

We'll have more on Alice, which is now visible by boat from the lake and by land on the KVR Trail, later today.
