While the Ironman’s time in Penticton may be done for the time being, South Okanagan residents have the chance to remember the storied event with a physical keepsake.
In a news release sent out Thursday morning, the City of Penticton has taken down the Ironman street banners and will be giving them away.
There is a limit of one banner per person and a draw will decide who the recipients of the three styles of banners (swim, bike and run) will be.
The banners are two feet wide and four feet long and may be dirty as they have been outdoors.
Those interested in entering the draw for the banners can do so online at this link before midnight on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
The banners must be picked up by Oct. 4, 2024, and there will be no shipping, holds or reservations.
More information about the draw can be found online at this link.
