Missing Ontario man’s rental car found abandoned on forest service road in rural BC

Mounties in northern BC are searching for a missing man who was originally reported missing to the Toronto Police Service in mid-April.

Dmytro Malovichko, 30, was reported missing in Ontario on April 15. According to police, he was last heard from on April 8 and last seen on March 25.

On May 22, a rental vehicle associated with Malovichko was found abandoned on a forest service road near kilometre 95 of Hwy 37, which is in a remote area of northwestern BC.

“It is unknown how Dmytro is now travelling,” noted a Stewart RCMP news release.

Police provided the following description of the missing man:

  • Caucasian
  • 38 years old
  • 5’11”
  • 221 lbs
  • Brown hair
  • Green eyes

Anyone with information on Malovichko’s whereabouts is urged to contact their local police or Crime Stoppers.
