The band behind one of the most popular country songs of all time will be playing in Kelowna next year.
Nitty Gritty Dirt Band announced part of the Canadian leg of its Farewell Tour this morning and it includes a stop in the Central Okanagan.
They’ll be at Prospera Place for a show on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
Of course, most will best know the band through their timeless country anthem, “Fishin’ in the Dark,” but that’s just one of the many number one hits they had during the 1980s.
Nitty Gritty Dirt Band also released chart-topping songs like “Long Hard Road (The Sharecropper’s Dream),” “Modern Day Romance,” “Home Again in My Heart” and “I’ve Been Looking.”
With the exception of their Calgary show on May 9, 2025, the band’s Canadian dates will feature Kathleen Edwards as an opening act.
Tickets for this spring show in Kelowna will go on sale through Live Nation at 10 am on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024.
