A man in the BC Interior could be facing charges after allegedly assaulting a bank employee last month.
The alleged assault happened after a man became unhappy after being denied a large cash withdrawal at a Salmon Arm bank.
According to a news release, the man tried to withdraw $14,000.
Mounties say the account the man was trying to withdraw from had been flagged for suspicious activity, which limited how much money he could withdraw.
The RCMP say the man began yelling at the bank employee before allegedly throwing two plexiglass displays and a heavy cardboard sign that hit another employee.
The incident happened on Oct. 17 and the police located the man nearly a week later on Oct. 23.
He was arrested for assault with a weapon, the news release notes.
He was later released with a court date and the RCMP say criminal charges are being recommended to the BC Prosecution Service.
