Hold onto your pumpkin spice lattes, It’s officially the first day of fall 2020.
The fall equinox starts today, marking the start of that time of year when it’s totally acceptable to start putting up fall and Halloween decor.
Seasonal activities enjoyed by families and friend groups are also set to begin, such as pumpkin patches, corn mazes, haunted houses and hayrides.
According to the Farmer’s Almanac, at the fall or autumnal equinox, day and night are about equal in length.
It also means that temperatures will start to get colder as the earth prepares for winter, which is expected to be more frigid than we’re used to in BC, with heavier snow.
