There are snowfall warnings in place across BC Interior highways this morning.
Environment Canada is forecasting up to 15 centimetres on the Coquihalla Highway, Hwy 1 (Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass) and Okanagan Connector.
The department explained in its warning: “A low pressure system passing through [the] southeastern BC interior will bring snow to the region today. Snow will ease as the low passes this afternoon.”
It warned drivers to beware of suddenly reduced visibility and heavy snow.
Separately, Hwy 1 is facing a potentially lengthy closure near Salmon Arm due to rocks on the road.
