A special weather statement has been issued for BC Interior highways.
Environment Canada said snow is possible on the Coquihalla Highway, Hwy 3 and the Okanagan Connector.
The department’s forecasters said the cause is an “upper trough” that “will continue to produce scattered showers” across the region.
In a bulletin, they explained: “Please be prepared to adjust your driving as weather conditions at high elevations may change quickly. Slow down and maintain a safe following distance.”
They added that the accumulation of snowfall is expected to be only about four centimetres.
The snow will then “quickly melt away.”
Snow levels will be between 1,200 metres and 1,700 metres.
