Seahawks make pre-draft blockbuster trade with the Chiefs

With the 2019 NFL draft just two days away, the Seattle Seahawks have picked up an extra pick in the first round.

The team has agree to trade defensive end Frank Clark, who received the franchise tag earlier in the off-season, to the Kansas City Chiefs.

In return, Seattle picks up Kansas City’s first-round pick on Thursday, 29th overall, and a 2020 second-round pick from the Chiefs.

The two teams will also exchange third-round picks on Friday.

Kansas City will now finalize a long-term deal with Clark that the Seahawks were unable to give the 25-year-old.

It’s reported that the two parties have agreed to a five-year, $105.5-million contract with $63.5-million guaranteed.

Clark will now have to pass a physical with the Chiefs to make the trade official.

Drafted in the second round by Seattle in 2015, Clark recorded 137 tackles, 35 sacks and nine forced fumbles in his time with the Seahawks.
