The Oilers will face the Florida Panthers for the second consecutive season, marking the first time the Stanley Cup Final will feature the same two teams in back-to-back years since 2008 and 2009.
Edmonton opened the scoring early in Thursday's match and cruised towards the win as six different players scored for the Oilers.
Among those to score was Jeff Skinner, who notched his first career playoff goal after being in the league since the 2010-11 season.
Florida enters the final after defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Carolina Hurricanes to win the Eastern Conference.
This is the third consecutive year that the Panthers will have a shot at the NHL title and they'll look to secure their second Stanley Cup in franchise history.
Last year, the Panthers opened the final with three consecutive wins before losing three straight matches to set up a game seven. Florida narrowly held on to win the Stanley Cup over the Oilers.
The first game of the Stanley Cup Final is on Wednesday in Edmonton.
