Leos struggle at home against the Blue Bombers

For the second time in less than two weeks, the BC Lions took on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and were unable to get a victory against last year’s Grey Cup runner-up.

The Leos were at home on Saturday and looking for revenge after their 34-20 loss against Winnipeg last week, but the Blue Bombers had other plans.

Down 10-3 early in the second quarter, Jeremiah Masoli, who was filling in for an injured Nathan Rourke, tossed a lateral pass and it was dropped.

Winnipeg recovered the ball and took it more than 50 yards to score a major and take a 17-3 lead.

It was not until the final minutes of the fourth quarter that the Lions scored their first touchdown, eventually falling 27-14.

Masoli finished with one touchdown, a pair of interceptions and 281 throwing yards.

The Lions will now prepare to take on the undefeated Saskatchewan Roughriders next weekend.
