Even some Vancouver Canucks fans were surprised at how game one turned out.
Matched up against the defending Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues in round one of the playoffs, Vancouver came out hard and cruised to an emotional 5-2 victory to open the series.
Today, the two teams go to battle once again for game two of the series, which is a 3:30 pm PT start in the Edmonton bubble.

Vancouver will almost certainly roll out the same lineup that worked in game one, but there’s still a chance that Adam Gaudette could draw into the lineup.
St. Louis should have a similar lineup to game one as well, but could see a significant boost to their bottom six if Sammy Blais and Alex Steen are healthy enough to play.
If the Blues want to tie up the series today, they’ll need to stay out of the penalty box as the Canucks power play went three for six on Wednesday.
They’ll also need Jordan Binnington to have a far better game in net, as the goalie looked very shaky in the opening game of the series.
Meanwhile, to take a 2-0 stranglehold on the defending champions, Vancouver will need its top players to continue their strong play, especially captain Bo Horvat.
