The area burned by wildfires so far this season is the second-largest on record in Canada, according to federal officials.
This year's fire season — the worst since the 2023 wildfire season — has seen wildfires consume 3.7 million hectares, six times the area of Prince Edward Island.
The 10-year average for wildfire seasons is about 800,000 hectares.
Here is a look as some scenes from areas impacted by wildfires this week.
