Thousands more hectares have burned in wildfires across British Columbia.
The latest figures from the BC government – summing up the crisis as of 7 pm on Thursday – show 462,959 hectares have burned since April 1.
Wednesday’s figure was 454,433 hectares.
The number of fires burning in the province remains 248, the new data show.
There have been 1,251 wildfires since April 1.
