Tens of thousands more hectares have burned in the province over a 24-hour period, according to the latest data.
BC Government statistics released this morning show that – as of 7 pm on Tuesday – 448,968 hectares have burned in BC.
That’s up from 417,694 hectares in the previous day's numbers.
The figures also show that, since April 1, there have been 1,237 separate wildfires in the province.

Firefighters and other personnel fighting the fires: 3,650 (total, includes out-of-province and aerial support)
Out-of-province firefighters: 318
Helicopters and planes supporting ground crews: 194
Evacuations:
Evacuation Orders: 63 (+2)
Evacuation Alerts: 93 (+8)
Properties:
Number of properties on order: 3,375 (-338)
Number of properties on alert: 18,065 (-170)
