Residents who use Stevens Road for their daily commute should be aware of a closure starting this Monday.
According to the City of West Kelowna, Stevens Road will be closed between Ross Road and the Westlake Road roundabout as crews install underground utilities and complete drainage works.
The closure is part of active transportation upgrades in the Shannon Lake Corridor.
For the safety of the crew on-site, the area will be closed to the public. Motorists can expect minor delays in the area.
As of now, the road is expected to reopen on Saturday morning, though weather conditions could change that date. Over the next week, crews will also be sidewalk and bike lane improvements from the Shannon Lake Road Bridge to the Westlake Road roundabout.
