Mission Hill has made the decision to postpone the sold-out Sarah McLachlan concert this Monday due to the McDougall Creek wildfire in West Kelowna.
As of now, the winery is not impacted by the wildfire, however they felt the decision was necessary in order to ensure people’s safety and to support the first responders on the frontlines.
“The winery team is very disappointed to have to make this decision as they have been looking forward to welcoming guests travelling from across Canada to attend this very special concert,” said the winery.
The winery will also be closed today out of an abundance of caution, with the hope of reopening soon.
“The team at Mission Hill extends their deepest condolences to all of those in the community that have been impacted by these devastating wildfires,” they added.
Mission Hill said they have been in contact with Sarah McLachlan and her management team, “who are very concerned with the situation and express their concerns for the local residents.”
McLachlan will be back at ampitheatre at a later date, and details will be provided when available.
Anyone who would like a refund is asked to contact AdmitONE at [email protected] with the subject line ‘Sarah McLachlan – Refund Request.’
All previously purchased tickets will remain valid if/when a new date is announced. If the show ultimately results in a cancellation, tickets will be automatically refunded in full.
