That according to Global Okanagan's Klaudia Van Emmerik, who says getting locked in a cage is perfectly acceptable as long as it helps the animals.

Van Emmerik is among the local celebrities who have been caged in a fundraiser called "Lock-In for Love".

It's a fun event that raises urgently needed funds for our community’s most vulnerable animals. And while it all may look a bit silly, it's a serious part of the agency's fundraising efforts. Last year, more than $20,000 was raised.

Penticton held a similar event on the 19th and Vernon's "Lock-In For Love" is slated for tomorrow, June 22.
