RCMP investigating after thieves steal full-sized soccer net from BC elementary school

A BC RCMP detachment is investigating an unusual and unfortunate theft from a school on Vancouver Island.

According to the Oceanside RCMP, a full-sized aluminum soccer net was stolen over the weekend of June 6-8.

Police say the soccer net is valued at about $2,000.

It was stolen from Errington Elementary School, which is in a small community just west of Parksville.

Unfortunately, there are no suspects but police say a vehicle was likely used to remove the net from the field.

The Oceanside RCMP are encouraging anyone with information about the theft to give them a call.
