(Original story: Sept. 17 @ 10:15 am) - A seemingly serious crash has shut down the highway between Vernon and Falkland.

DriveBC says the vehicle incident happened on Hwy 97 between Irish Creek Road and Grandview Flats Road earlier this morning.

According to motorists at the scene, the closure is due to a head-on crash and an air ambulance was called in.
