6 days of advance voting ahead of the BC election begin Thursday

We’re a week and a half from election day in British Columbia, but the voting will begin on Thursday.

There will be six total days of advance voting for BC’s 43rd Provincial General Election in the lead-up to election day on Saturday, Oct. 19.

The first four days of advance voting will take place between Thursday, Oct. 10, and Sunday, Oct. 13.

Advance voting places will then shut down on Thanksgiving Monday before reopening for two more days on Tuesday, Oct. 15, and Wednesday, Oct. 16.

“Elections BC has also sent Where to Vote cards to every registered voter in the province,” a statement from Elections BC says.

“The cards list advance voting places in the voter’s electoral district, and their assigned voting place for final voting day on Saturday, Oct. 19.”

Advance voting is an option for all eligible voters, and ballots can be submitted at any voting place in the province.

People are encouraged to bring their Where to Vote card with them to the polling place and they must bring acceptable ID to prove their identity and residential address.
