Victim suffers critical injuries in ‘traumatic’ BC road rage incident

One person was hospitalized and another was arrested following a mid-afternoon road rage in North Vancouver over the weekend.

Emergency crews were called to the scene near Boulevard Crescent and East 21st Street around 3 pm.

According to police, the incident began with a dispute over merging between the drivers of a Subaru and Jeep.

“During the interaction, the occupant of the Jeep exited their vehicle and was struck by the grey Subaru,” an RCMP release explained.

RCMP officers got to the scene quickly and brought the Subaru driver into custody, while the victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

“This was a traumatic incident for the people who witnessed it,” noted Cpl. Mansoor Sahak through a media release.

The suspect, who has been released with several police-imposed conditions, is facing several charges that Sahak says could change based on the victim’s health.

“We are continuing to assess the condition of the victim, which may impact the nature of the charges as the investigation progresses,” he explained.

Anyone with information or relevant video footage regarding this incident is urged to contact the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311 and quote file number 2025-21042.
