UPDATE: Missing dog last seen on Hwy 33 has made it home safely

(UPDATE: March 18 @ 12 pm) – The owners of a missing pup have confirmed that he has made it home safely.

The pup had gone missing on Wednesday from his owner's parent's property in the Beaverdell area. Jordyn, Zion's owner, was working in Alberta at the time.

“Thank you so much everyone for all the shares and words, the family is beyond happy to have this handsome boy home,” says a family friend of Zion’s owners.

(Original story: March 17 @ 2:30 pm) – A Beaverdell resident is seeking the public’s assistance to help find her dog, Zion.

On March 15 at 11 am, Jordyn Miller’s two dogs escaped from her fully fenced farm, and while they were both spotted on Highway 33 shortly after, only one has safely returned home.

“Today is day three of our friends and community searching for him and posting everywhere possible, but still no sightings since March 15,” Miller explained.

“Our new fear is that someone may have picked him up on the highway, meaning he could be anywhere.”

Zion is a short 50 lbs dog who is three years old.

“He was wearing his leather collar and ID tags, and he is microchipped,” Miller said. “He is very friendly and loving towards people and other animals.”

Anyone who sees Zion is asked to call (403) 506-1439 or (250) 808-6890.

“He can be dropped off at any rescue, SPCA or vet's office with no questions asked,” Miller added. “I just want my boy home safe.”
