(UPDATE: Aug. 18 @ 11:50 am) - Robert Stalker has now been found.
In an updated release, the Nanaimo RCMP say the 30-year-old is safe.
Police thanked the public for "the outpouring of tips" that helped investigators find both Stalker and his partner Julie De Myer in a timely matter.

(Original story: Aug. 18 @ 10 am) - A woman reported missing on Vancouver Island last week has been found safe.
Her partner remains missing, however, and police have provided limited updates regarding the case’s latest development.
Both 33-year-old Julie De Myer and 30-year-old Robert Stalker were reported missing on Aug. 13, but had not been heard from by loved ones since July 20.
Police said in a release last week that they were believed to be on a white sailboat named the “Calliope.”

Over the weekend, the Nanaimo RCMP reported that both De Myer and the sailboat had been located, but Stalker remains missing at this time.
The investigation into the Nanaimo man’s disappearance is ongoing, police noted in a follow-up release.
Stalker is described as a 6’1” and 190-pound Caucasian man with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information on Stalker is urged to contact police, but the RCMP says tips regarding De Myer or the boat are no longer needed.
