Residents with an itch to travel throughout the province will be gaining a reliable mode of transportation starting next month.
Ebus announced that they would be "safely" and responsibly" resuming limited service throughout BC beginning June 4. The company will be introducing a new Safety Clean Program to ensure passengers and staff won't contract COVID-19 will on their busses.
At this point, Ebus will only be offering routes between Vancouver and Kelowna, Vancouver and Kamloops, Kelowna and Kamloops, and Kelowna and Salmon Arm. These trips will include stops in locations such as Surrey, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Hope, Merritt, and Vernon.
The services will only run on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays, and Mondays. For the safety of everyone involved, face masks will be mandatory for those looking to ride the bus.
Bus fares will depend on how far a person is travelling. The longest trip, Vancouver to Salmon Arm, would cost $165.60, while the shortest trip, Vernon to Salmon Arm, costs just $25.14.
Ebus also runs provincially in Alberta. Service is still temporarily suspended in that province.
