Louise Kerr had one main purchase in mind after winning big playing the lottery.
The Prince George resident wanted a new lawn tractor and it’s already on the way.
“I’ve already ordered it!”
Kerr was in her kitchen enjoying a cup of tea when she learned that she had won $500,000 from the Lotto Max draw on May 9, splitting a Maxmillions prize with another player in Atlantic Canada.
“I was at my kitchen table, checking my tickets,” she recalled of the winning moment. “I just didn’t believe it! I double checked the numbers.”
Now that the new lawn tractor is ordered, she’s also planning to complete some repairs at home with the prize money, but it won’t be Kerr doing the work.
“I can hire people to do it,” she boasted. “This just frees you up.”
Kerr, who called the feeling of winning the lottery “unreal,” bought the fateful ticket at Hart Drug Mart on Dagg Road in Prince George.
