Tomorrow, BC Ferries resumes one of its busiest routes and it’ll follow that up by increasing service to the Southern Gulf Islands next week.
On Tuesday, June 9, the company will increase service to the area, which includes resuming trips to Salt Spring Island (Long Harbour) from Vancouver (Tsawwassen).

Bookings for that route are now open, but any previous reservations made for June 9-23 have been cancelled and refunded, as sailing times have changed.
Although service is ramping up and routes are resuming, boats are still running at a 50% passenger capacity, so reservations are encouraged.
“BC Ferries’ priority is the health and safety of our customers and employees, and the company will strictly adhere to provincial and federal guidelines during this gradual resumption of service,” says a statement from BC Ferries.
“The company continues to advise customers to avoid non-essential travel and is following the directives and guidance provided by the Province of BC and Transport Canada.”
As a result of these service level adjustments, BC Ferries will be recalling some of its skilled employees.
