A BC gas station just shattered the North American price record again

Gas stations in the Lower Mainland continue to set a record high for prices in North America.

As gas prices creeped up towards and eventually over 170 cents per litre, a new record was set every time.

A Husky station in Delta, however, posted a big price jump on Monday to set the benchmark five cents higher than it previously was.

The price at that station is an astonishing 178.9 cents per litre, six cents higher than what most stations are topping out at in the Lower Mainland.

For drivers in and around Vancouver, it’s all about finding the right station to fill up at since prices do currently range from as low as 155.9 cents per litre to the Husky station’s record-setting price.

The record could fall again by the end of the week, as GasBuddy’s senior petroleum expert, Dan McTeague, says gas prices will “climb dramatically” by midweek.

B.C.’s average gas price is currently 154.7 cents per litre.
