Six people were brought into custody after a police incident in Prince George this morning that lasted for hours.
The PG RCMP received a firearms report around 4 am today relating to a residence in the 2600 block of Oak Street.
Officers rushed to the scene and the North District RCMP’s emergency response team was even called in to assist.
Police set up shop around the residence and informed neighbours of the situation, but it was a while before the police incident came to an end.
Eventually, at 11 am, five men and one woman who were inside and associated to the residence were taken into custody without further incident.
Officers seized an AK-47 style firearm as well.
The investigation is still in its early stages and more updates will be provided as they’re made available.
