Prince George RCMP use social media to recover stolen property

It is safe to say that Prince George RCMP is hip with the times!

On Sunday, a frontline officer was monitoring the Prince George RCMP's social media where they came across a post about a suspicious camp next to Shesta Lake. The officer recognized a vehicle in the photos as being recently reported stolen.

After attended the rural area, the officer located the camp vacant. The Ford pick-up was confirmed stolen from Clear Lake Road on the morning of June 30th. A police computer check of a tent trailer in the camp, found it to have been stolen from Quaw Avenue in Prince George on June 16th. The tent trailer was in the process of being painted.

These two items and a homemade cargo trailer believed to have been stolen, were seized as part of the investigation. The investigation is still ongoing as officers work to identify who is responsible.
