Man, 67, dies after 'failing to negotiate turn at high speed' east of Prince George

A man has died after a single-vehicle crash to the east of Prince George.

Police said it happened at about 8 pm on Wednesday in the 6200 block of Upper Fraser Road.

Officers found an SUV overturned in a ditch when they arrived at the scene.

A 67-year-old man was found dead.

“Evidence and witness statements have led investigators to believe that the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road,” police explained.

“The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.:

Nobody else was in the SUV.

The BC Coroners Service is investigating.
