Prince George Cougars' forward Matej Toman will be representing the Czech Republic at this year's Men's World U18 Hockey Championships.
The 18-year-old is one of 14 forwards that make up the Czech roster. Toman finished tenth on the Cougars in scoring last season, collecting nine goals and 20 points in 66 games.
Toman has represented his country before as he played at the 2018 Hlinka-Gretzky Cup last August, as well as the 2017 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John where he won a bronze medal.
Czech Republic is in Group A with Belarus, Canada, Finland, and Switzerland. The Czechs open their tournament with a game on Thursday against Belarus.
