14K doses of fentanyl seized during 2 search warrants in BC

After a two-month long investigation, the Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit has seized a large supply of illicit drugs.

During two search warrants executed in March, officers seized nearly 1,400 grams of suspected fentanyl, 170 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 28 grams of suspected cocaine, as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia.

This amount of fentanyl is enough for approximately 14,000 individual doses of the illicit drug, according to the RCMP.

One male was arrested and subsequently released back into the community, pending the full results of the investigation, which is ongoing.

The search warrants took place in Prince George on the 1700-block of 17 Avenue and the 2600-block of Recplace Drive.
