Spring has sprung and that means parks across the South Okanagan are beginning to open for the 2023 season.
Over the weekend, Giant’s Head Mountain Park in Summerland opened to vehicles from noon to 9 pm, six days a week. The park is closed on Sundays.
“The morning and Sunday road closures allow for more space for park users to bike and hike without vehicular conflict,” says the District of Summerland.
In addition, sports fields, park gates and washrooms at Powell Beach, Memorial Park and Dale Meadows are all open.
The washrooms at Peach Orchard and Rotary Beach remain closed for renovations, however.
The District expects them to open in June.
