RCMP seek hit and run suspect after senior woman injured in Okanagan Falls

The Penticton RCMP are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect in a hit and run that left an elderly pedestrian injured.

The hit and run happened on Wednesday, around 2 pm, at 10th Avenue and Main Street in Okanagan Falls.

A news release said the woman was crossing at the marked crosswalk when a newer model grey GMC or Chevrolet pickup truck hit her.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

Police said the driver was a woman in her late 60s with mid-length hair.

The vehicle reportedly did not remain at the scene and the police are now looking to speak to any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to further the investigation.
