Piping hot: Penticton plumbing company expands across Okanagan following merger

Since the Penticton-based Mavco Plumbing and Heating merged into CustomAir in May 2019, it continues to add to its team, growing from 18 local employees to 27 currently, to expand its geographic reach and services.

Founded in 1998, Mavco is further solidifying its roots in the Okanagan following the merger with the addition of seven employees living in the North Okanagan, enabling it to extend its service area. The company continues to push ahead by offering clients access to service offerings and asset management information that they didn’t have before. The spin-off value to the community includes buying local and supporting charities in Penticton and the surrounding areas.

“We look forward to carrying on our growth and being an active contributor to the community,” said Peter Harteveld, CEO of Mavco’s parent-company, CustomAir.

Harteveld credits the incredible team of Penticton-based staff and their commitment to providing the best plumbing, heating and air conditioning service and installations anywhere in the Okanagan Valley for the growth.

“We have been very focused on retaining, training and recruiting the best support and tradespeople available,” he said. “That will be a continued focus for us.”
