(UPDATE: Jan. 26 @ 5:20 pm) – Green Mountain Road is now open to traffic in all directions following an earlier road closure.
The police thanked the public for their patience as they cleared the scene.
(Original story: Jan. 26 @ 3:14 pm) – Green Mountain Road in Penticton BC is currently open to single lane alternating traffic following a vehicle incident.
The Penticton RCMP say they are responding to a motor vehicle accident in the 800-block of the road west of the city.
“Police are asking that motorists avoid the area at this time to allow emergency personnel to perform their duties,” a release says.
It is unknown how long the road will be operating with one lane at this time, however, updates are expected later today.
