Osoyoos lawyer throws hat into ring to win seat on Osoyoos Council

Osoyoos lawyer Brian Harvey has entered the race to win a seat on Town of Osoyoos Council.

That brings the number of candidates who will battle incumbents C.J. Rhodes and Jim King to seven.

<who>Photo Credit: File Photo </who>Osoyoos lawyer Brian Harvey filed his nomination papers Friday to try and win a seat on Osoyoos Council in the Oct. 20 municipal election.

Incumbents Mike Campol and Carol Youngberg will not be seeking re-election. Campol has accepted a new job and moved his family to West Kelowna.

The other candidates running for one of the four spots on Osoyoos Council include Kenny Music, Sy Murseli, Jane Long, Shelley McIntyre, Myers Bennettt and Sherani Theophilius.

Mayor Sue McKortoff’s only oppostion is fringe candidate Doug “Stoned Dan” Pederson, who has garnered very minimal support during numerous attempts at public office over the past several years.
