One person sent to hospital after 3 vehicle collision in Penticton

Emergency crews responded to a collision this afternoon in Penticton, which sent one person to hospital.

At 5:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a three vehicle motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Railway Street and Duncan Avenue.

It is believed the collision occurred when a vehicle attempting to turn left onto Duncan Ave from Railway Street failed to yield to an on-coming vehicle travelling north.

The vehicle travelling north on Railway Street was unable to stop in time, and collided with the vehicle turning left.

A third collision occurred from the vehicle travelling north spinning and colliding with a third vehicle, which was making a right turn onto Railway Street from Duncan Avenue.

Two out of the three vehicles had extensive damage. One of the driver’s suffered injuries and was transported to hospital.

The collision is under investigation by the Penticton Detachment Traffic Services. Should anyone have witnessed this collision and hasn’t spoken with police, they are encouraged to do so and quote file 2019-21472.
