The entertainment line-up for the long-awaited return of the 75th Penticton Peach Fest has now been announced.
For five days at the beginning of August, crowds will be able to enjoy a wide variety of family-fun activities and entertainment.
“The board of directors is excited, we have long-time volunteers that are excited, and I can’t tell you how many times I have been stopped out in public by individuals telling me how much they miss Peach Festival. So, after two long years, everyone is ready to celebrate this family summer tradition in Penticton and we have a great lineup of favourites, and other artists making their first appearance, that are sure to draw big crowds,” said Don Kendall, Peach Festival president.
On Aug. 3, the Skyhawks Parachute Team and the famous aerial acrobatic Snowbirds will kick off the first night of entertainment.
The opening headliner will be Doug and the Slugs, presented by RPR Heating and Air Conditioning.
Honeymoon Suite, best known for hits like “New Girl Now” and “Burning in Love,” will rock into the night on the main stage.
The Tim Hortons country night on Aug. 4 will kick off with singer/songwriter Shawn Austin whose debut single, “Paradise Found,” landed him a spot on the Top 10 most played Canadian Country artists on radio.
The main headliner of the night, Jess Moskaluke, will bring her big voice and pop-infused hooks to the show.
Moskaluke was the 2018 Canadian Country Music Awards winner for Album of the Year and a three time consecutive winner of the CCMA Female Artist of the Year award.
On Friday, Aug. 5, Simply Queen promises to blow the audience’s mind as they headline the RE/MAX Penticton Tribute night and faithfully recreate the scope of Queen’s live shows.
Simply Queen will take the stage with opener Fab Fourever, Canada’s premiere tribute to The Beatles and Penticton-raised Jody Tennant as Paul McCartney will help transport the crowd back to the ‘60s.
On Aug. 6, five-time Juno Award winners, Glass Tiger, will roar onto the Peace Festival Stage.
Glass Tiger has shared the stage with Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Bryan Adams and Journey – to name a few.
Saturday’s show will be opened by The Powder Blues Band, who have been entertaining with their mix of swing, blues, jazz, rock and R&B for over four decades.
Thanks to the sponsorship of the Penticton Lakeside Resort, one of the top piano players in the world, Ben Waters, will return to Peach Fest and will close out the festival on Sunday, Aug. 7.
“Everyone was absolutely blown away by Waters when he played at PeachFest in 2019 after he opened for Barney Bentall. The crowd was rocking and he was having such a great time that he wasn’t but a few steps off the stage when he told me he wanted to come back next year,” said Kendall.
Just before Waters takes the stage, nine-piece band Phonix, will take the stage.
Other entertainment includes:
Canadian Tire Mega Motocross
Bent Family Entertainment
32 local performers
New this year to the festival is the RPR PeachDuro cycling event at Three Blind Mice in Naramata.
