Kilwinning. Could there be a better named street for Halloween?
Even in 2020, where most folks have backed off the decorations and the typical All Hallows' Eve rigmarole, Kilwining -- and its fellow "K streets" of Killarney and Kensington -- are showing their spirit is higher than a witch on a rocket-propelled broomstick.
PentictonNow took a quick spin through the neighbourhood this afternoon and found the place is lined with frightening oddities and gruesome ghouls as far as the eye can see.
Ghastly graveyards? Check. Crazed pumpkinheads? Check. Even a few sinister potions and a gaggle of skeletons that seem to be eerily capable of climbing up the sides of houses.
Aughh!
But whereas there's clearly a façade of fear, the folks behind those apparitions and goblins are all smiles.
And they're hoping to see a parade of vehicles check out their creations on this, the ghastliest night of the year.
And if you do plan a ghostly drive-by, keep the speed slow. The K streets are sure to be busy tonight.
