The District of Summerland is hosting a free Outdoor Movie Night this Saturday evening.
The District, in partnership with Fortis BC, presents FreshAirFilms Free Outdoor Movie Night at Summerland’s Memorial Park on Saturday evening.
Those attending will view the summer blockbuster Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on a three-storey screen where the action will be brought to life in prehistoric size, said the District in a news release.
Jurassic World will commence at 7:45 p.m., but there will be plent of activity at Memorial Park before the movie begins.
The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen’s Physical Activity Trailer (PAT) will be onsite at Memorial Park from 6:30-7:30 p.m. with a trailer full of games and activities.
Families with children of all ages are urged to get to the park early to enjoy getting active in the park as the PAT promotes physical literacy, safe play and reduction of sedentary behaviour.
There will also be food sales onsite, with the Poppadoms Indian Food Truck and Summerland Youth Centre Popcorn.
Residents are urged to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on the grass and enjoy the movie.
