Get Local is a series presented by PentictonNow, featuring some of our favourite local businesses and eateries! It’s our way of spotlighting local businesses we love and hope you will too.
In 1945, William “Bill” Guerard introduced Penticton to what would become his family legacy, Guerard’s Fine Furniture. In doing so, Bill created a life for three generations of the Guerard family and made homes feel complete to countless other families.
Ever since the beginning, Guerard’s mission has been quality and customer service. Believing that even though they’ve changed their location and styles of product over the years, the main reason why Guerard’s remains a prominent fixture in Penticton is that they’ve never changed that mission.
Today, under the guidance of the third generation, Trevor Guerard is providing locals with an evolved level of quality and customer service.
“The future of our industry demands sustainably responsible companies producing long-lasting environmentally-friendly products,” said Trevor Guerard. “It’s something we’re proud to provide.”
By shifting their focus to source quality-made Canadian products, you can feel good knowing that your furniture and decor protects the rainforest and fights against deforestation by using Canadian made materials and soy-based latex foam.
This vision brings in a product that’s made to last. Something that one day you can hand down as an heirloom, just like Guerard’s Fine Furniture has done for their family.
In this low-pressure environment, you can browse at your leisure, take as long as you’d like to make a decision and speak with consultants who will help you decorate your home or office within your budget.
Guerard’s Fine Furniture advocates trusted service, quality products, responsible brands and that’s why we love them!
Go see for yourself. Guerard’s Fine Furniture is open daily on Backstreet Boulevard, Penticton.
Fun Fact: In the spring of 1971, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Anne visited B.C. to mark the centenary anniversary of the province into confederation. During their visit to Penticton, the royal family was welcomed by Guerard’s who staged a tea room in their furniture store.
