(Update: Oct. 19, 2024 @ 10:10 pm): After an incredibly tight race, it appears that Conservative candidate Amelia Boultbee has been elected for Penticton-Summerland.
Boultbee was elected a Penticton city councillor in 2022 and is a born and raised Pentictonite. She is a litigator and dispute resolution lawyer.
A final count of the votes in the BC election will begin on Oct. 26, 2024.
(Update: Oct. 19, 2024 @ 8:55 pm): The count is still close for NDP and Conservative candidates for the Penticton-Summerland riding.
Conservative candidate Amelia Boultbee is in the lead with 41.56% of the vote, but NDP candidate Tina is isn't far behind with 39.94% and ballots left to count.
(Oct. 19, 2024 @ 8:25 pm):
The polls have officially closed and all that remains is to tally the votes in the 2024 provincial election.
Preliminary results are rolling in as of 8 pm, and so far it's a close race for Penticton. NDP candidate Tina Lee is leading the pack with 40.91% of the counted votes so far. Conservative candidate Amelia Boultbee is close behind with 40.46%.

The Penticton-Summerland riding includes six different candidates, including three who are running as independents.
Voters had the choice to vote for Bradley Bartsch with the BC Green Party, Amelia Boultbee with the Conservative Party (and city councilor for Penticton), Roger Harrington as an independent, Tina Lee with the BC NDP, Anna Paddon as an independent and Tracy St Claire as Independent (formerly BC United).
There is no incumbent candidate running for MLA in this riding. The successful candidate will replace BC United’s Dan Ashton as MLA
