The City of Penticton has announced the candidates for its second by-election of the year.
On Friday, the city released the list of potential candidates that will replace the seat taken by former city councillor Helena Konanz who secured a seat in Ottawa at the end of April.
Konanz’s official resignation was announced in early May.
Candidates include

The official campaigning period begins on Saturday, July 26.
Advanced voting will be happening at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre on Aug. 13 and Aug. 14 from 8 am until 8 pm.
General voting day is on Saturday, Aug. 23.

Jason Reynen was voted in as the councillor to replace Amelia Boultbee who secured a spot in BC’s legislation in October 2024.
Reynen's first day of office was late April.
