Police are looking to speak to a woman who allegedly assaulted a liquor store employee after being asked to wear a mask inside.
The Skaha Lake Liquor Store shared footage of the incident from Nov. 21 at 1:48 pm on their Facebook page asking people to help identify the woman.
In the post, the store said that the woman threatened to sue him for refusing service when she was asked to wear a mask.
Then, after the employee puts the woman on the phone with the store owner, she is seen purposefully dropping the phone on the floor.
The store also said that the woman spit on the employee several times and made a racial comment.
The woman who was wearing a black and pink coloured jacket is described as about 60-years-old, Caucasian and has grey hair.
“It’s extremely troubling that an employee, who was only following the provincial health orders, was subject to an assault of this nature,” says Sgt. Jason Bayda.
“Spitting at someone is a concern anytime let alone in the midst of a pandemic.”
