A 19-year-old in Keremeos has been charged with several firearms-related offences after police were called to a residence earlier this week.
On Wednesday, at approximately 5:30 pm, Keremeos RCMP, with the help of neighbouring detachments and the Southeast District’s Emergency Response Team, were called to a residence following a report of threats using a firearm.
Police arrived at the scene and were able to safely arrest Arthur James Cramp. No one was injured in the incident.
“Cramp has been charged with several firearms-related offences, including discharging a firearm, pointing a firearm, possession of a firearm without a licence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and unsafe storage of a firearm,” reads a statement from the RCMP.
The 19-year-old's next court appearance is on June 11, 2025, and the incident remains under investigation.
